When an interviewer doesn't ask about your qualifications, it can be a red flag. Either you are not seen as the expected candidate, or they look at how assertive you are and how confident you are in tackling it yourself.
Remember that what an interviewer doesn't ask can sometimes be just as revealing as the questions they do ask.
If you still have a job, most interviewers will ask why you are applying. If nothing is said about it from their side, take the opportunity to explain your motivation to show yourself as a suitable candidate.
